Happy Birthday to us!

Wednesday 17th February 2016.  Class Act is officially 19 years old and born from many previous years in this wonderful trade of sound and vision.  Many a great event in this era has passed through our speakers including, grunge, rave and hip hop but Tom Jones and Hi Ho Silver lining were never far behind!  To jog your memory even more, the Cold War thawed, American Beauty wowed at the cinemas, the Euro was established, tribal tattoos came and permanently stayed whether they were wanted long term or not.  Sponge Bob Square Pants kept many a small child and some adults quiet for hours and technology gave us the dot-com bubble which promptly burst leaving the legacy of a whole gigabyte of RAM!

Through the years there have been many high’s and low’s in business, fashion and music.  Our core business has reflected the times and strengthened our resolve.  Award ceremonies and Corporate do’s have evolved from stuffy cigarette hazed evenings to all day entertainment and red carpet affairs.  Up to the present day, we can warmly say that Weddings, Christenings and Funerals are a well balanced mix and long may that trend continue.  We predict Festivals will continue strongly and there is nothing we haven’t already seen at these or any of the events we support, unless you know different……….?

On to our schedule.

This month we are (after a small celebration for our anniversary) mainly @Hedsor, @OldLuxtersBarn, with #PlatformSoul gigging, in central London the rest of the month(parking charges!) and the huge Plasma screen goes out on a product launch.  April sees the start of our tour for @KillerQueenUK @killerqueenlive with a huge calendar of dates. We will be supporting our neighbours @TopCatRacing for the start of their busy year with the V8 UK Full Power Launch in April.  Further down the road on Saturday 25th June @classactevents are proud to be providing the AV support for our local Summer Ball @BucksRailwayCentre in conjunction with @WaddesdonDeliCo and Emma Clarke @SignatureEmma.  The beneficiaries from this very opulent affair will be Cancer Research and local groups in the community plus a very much needed donation towards a defibrillator for the village.  If you wish to be a part of this fabulous evening dancing to a disco and the great (in size and quality) Who’s got the Dog @_wgtd please let us know.  If you cannot attend we have found a very easy way for you to sponsor tables and waitresses, buy raffle tickets, provide an auction/raffle prize or simply donate.  Please contact us or look on Quainton Summer Ball on facebook.

Some of you may have noticed we have streamlined this website and added a button for Memorials.   As this has been an integral part of our business but never advertised, we have decided to promote this service.  After much discussion on how best to approach this sensitive subject, we have put a simple explanation for guidance on the Memorial page.  Our montage service takes special photos and information provided and makes a dvd to reflect the life of the deceased. This can be played at the funeral, wake, memorial or any future celebration of their life, as well as being a keep sake should you require.  We offer live streaming to outside mourners where the venue is insufficient to accomodate the number attending.  Further to this we can support the wake or memorial with sound, stage and lighting.  If you feel this may be suitable and we can be of assistance, please contact us to discuss this delicate subject.

So, as we celebrate the comings and goings of days, weeks, months and years, remember this, reaching milestones is a reward but living in the moment is the real prize, lets enjoy it.
