Happy New Year!

Posted on January 9, 2017 by Thom

Hope you have all enjoyed the festive and New Year break and are now ready to plan for your special event in 2017.

We have just about recovered from the final 2016 push where we helped bring Christmas and New Year to all attending the endless gigs, parties, celebrations, birthdays and weddings.  We have had a blast, albeit endured very early starts and even later nights to keep the masses happy.  Personally I  do not wish to hear “It’s Christmas” any time soon or indeed ever again.

Firstly I have to tell you about the magnificent parties thrown at www.Hedsor.com (Hedsor House near Taplow) or otherwise known as “The Gatsby Mansion” for a week.  I cannot find enough superlatives to paint the picture of class, opulence, indulgence and ore these events exuded.  Take a look in our Hedsor section or on Hedsor’s Instagram feed and see the fantastic pictures of our lighting and Silhouettes of flapper girls.  We also have other great pics on Hedsor’s Instagram page showing our Porsche event lighting and front of house image projection.  Magic!

This week is calmer, we have a sound and lighting install in a shop in Soho and some crew are actually having time off for good behaviour.  I clearly have not behaved as I am at our Westcott HQ typing this.  Having said that, the weddings, birthdays and anniversaries continue at a pace and we are ever evolving our abilities to stand head and shoulders above others.  Courses on the horizon for some, work experience students coming and staff expansion (numbers and waistline) is a small but necessary part of evolution from our humble beginnings to our elite status in the industry.

Date for your Diary Friday 17th February 2017

Always up for a party, Class Act are celebrating 20 years in the industry.  Mick started this vast operation with £50 on 17th February 1997 and was quickly joined by our Technical engineer (guru) Thom Stretton.  Following this, Mick’s son Scott joined the company and progressed to our Senior Lighting engineer (lampie) after cutting his teeth DJ-ing at the tender age of 13.  Since then the team has expanded with crew and a vast network of engineers all over the country and Europe.  To mark this occasion we are throwing a party.  Friday 17th February 2017 will see the doors of Class Act open to past, present and future clients, suppliers, supporters and friends so we may say a massive Thank you as well as showcase our talents!  Should you like to join in please contact us and we will happily send an invite to you.
