What a month!

Where do we start?

Happy Birthday to us ……… 20 years in the AV business and taking giant steps towards the next 20 years!

Firstly we would like to thank (in full Oscar acceptance speech style) the people who were with Mick at the very beginning, without whom Class Act would still be a dream, not the reality it has become.

Sonic, thank you for loaning Mick the nifty that purchased the first 4 lights for the very first gig, glad to see he paid you back on Friday (without 20 years interest).  Thom, who is Class Act’s Technical engineer (guru) joined Mick within a year and has helped shape and mould this business, rising to the challenges of technical evolution and Mick!  The business has gone on to become a real family affair with Angie, Micks wife putting in a full 20 years of accounts along with mending and washing valances and keeping supplies topped up.  Eldest son Scott entered the business after leaving school and cutting his teeth on disco’s then gained his Lampie qualifications and is the senior lighting technician.  Younger brother Thomas subbies for Class Act at all sorts of ungodly hours so a huge thank you to him.  Thom’s son Colm first started helping out on a part time basis from the age of 15 over the years he has grown in to a fine sound engineer.  Friends feature in Micks business with Michelle and newest edition to the team, John being employed full time to complete the tightly run ship.  Subbies are an integral part of the AV business as working hours are irregular and can be all over Europe.  Another huge thank you to Carl, Pretesh, Antony, Paul, Tom B, Aaron, Ashley, Ben,  Baz, Cath, David, Dom, Tom C, Andy C and not forgetting our resident carpenter Lyndon.  To end our acceptance speech we would like world peace and much more partying!

Looking Forward

Our business is like a good meal, we have Starters, being our smaller local gigs where we can put back into the community, help friends and villagers, small local businesses and schools.  We will continue to support those closest to us such as Quainton School, Winslow School, Race nights for fundraising and local festivals.  The Main course is the largest proportion of our business, being all types of events, mainly at our preferred supplier venues.  We are pleased to announce, after another successful and flawless 2016, we have been invited to supply AV to www.Hedsor.com , www.OldLuxtersBarn.co.uk , www.pinewoodgroup.com Shepperton Studios, www.pinewood.genuine-events.co.uk Heatherden Hall.  Such opulent addresses, take a minute to look at their websites and see for yourself.  Onto the Desert, this is the cherry on top for us. We have once again been asked to provide AV for the best bashes in Buckinghamshire and around, these large one off gigs have a special place for us as we get to enjoy much of the event whilst “working”!
